MLP- THe Hobbit crossover- Title needed/unfinished by Linkling MLP- THe Hobbit crossover- Title needed/unfinished by Linkling
Ponification of this image; [link]

So yay, I did another Hobbit Crossover! For now no titel, which would be 'The Pony' (Okay that sounds like an unoriginal way out, but it makes sense! Horses are taller, full sized equines whereas ponies are smaller halflings in a sense. Or miniature ponies would work but it doesn't sound as nice. Or galloways? Nobody probably even knows what that is xD)
Anyways, no title, I'm terrible at downloading fonts, if there even is one, but it'll come one day. (Any of you guys good at that sorta stuff? Haha..)

I was undecided where to find the line for this crossover- ponified dwarves? MLP characters with Dwarve hairstyles? MLP characters with facial expresions and poses of the Dwarves? I don't know.

Now onto why I chose who. They are based on personalities, which aren't shown much for some characters in the movie, but after stalking the internet and reading all of the Official Movie Guide I have a good heap of knowledge about em- these are my opinions, feel free to leave in the comments what you would have imagined but, this is just what I thought of. (And yeah, I know all names of the 13 dwarves of by head...)

Gloin-Shining Armor; Fatherly figure to those younger than him, man in the house type.

Kili-Soarin; Freaking sexy- I mean, both the more attractive characters of the cast. Although ponies aren't attractive. But.. You know what I mean. But Kili is sexy. Anyways, both are suposed to be serious and working to their goals, but have more an appetite for casualties and shenanigans.

Bofur-Lyra; (BOFUR IS THE BEST DRAWVE.) Cheeky friendly characters, caring to those around them, poking fun and being a generally happy character.

Bifur-Derpy; Not so much personality based as, it-just-works-based. They don't speak much, don't speak normally or have a slight disadvantage. (Bifur has an axe lodged in his head, he can only speak ancient dwarvish) Yet are very nice and caring to those around them.

Oin-Granny Smith; Who else. Who else could be the surprisingly silly elder who is deaf as a bat and whose age is shown on their skin but remains as lively and wacky as ever?

Ori-Applebloom; Youngest among the company, thinking they're big stuff, wanting to get out there and be grown up, but really still being young and inexperienced.

Balin-Celestia; Mentor of the group, wise elder who tells dramatic stories very well. If we're talking everyone in the Hobbit, Celestia would have been Gandalf of course but I'm just focusing Dwarves in this image.

Fili-Braeburn; Considered the most attractive, also blonde, young male of the characters. (Kili and Bofur are better... Grumble) Doesn't go much more than that, but it just seemed right.

Thorin-Luna; (The name Thorin just sounds badass. Relevant.) Dark past, much wiser in knowledge and experiences than most around. A true leader, King/Queen, also bad assery.

Dwalin-RB; LOYALTY. BOTH ARE LOYAL. Dwalin is Thorin's puppy. He is loyal as hell to his king, never mind his fall and everything that has happened. Dwalin is loyal. And the Harley Davidson-riding, Hells Angels dwarve of the company. He is bad ass and loyal and so is RB. Yes.

Dori-Carrot Top; Mature character taking care of a slightly less capable character, mentor-fatherly kind of way. (Dori>Ori, Carrot Top>Derpy)

Bombur-Pinkie; Cake.

Nori-Flim; Not evil, but character with a bad streak. "Nobody quite knows what Nori gets up to most of the time, except that it’s guaranteed to be dodgy and quite probably, illegal." Is a quote to support this, although he isn't a bad person. Also fiercely loyal to his siblings, Dori and Ori, like Flim and Flam are.

So there you have it.

As much as I love MLP and the Hobbit, and the fact that the two together is like bread and butter to me, I feel like you could've done more with this. I really wish you would've dressed up the ponies to look like the dwarves in order to tell which one they're supposed to be. Sure I guess you can tell by their personalities, but I think there should be more than that. But besides that, this is well drawn.

Thank you very much for your honest comment! In hindsight I do see that would have added more to the picture and made an overall better crossover. Perhaps sometimes I'll redo this picture, with the appropriate hairstyles- Probably to celebrate the release of the Desolation of Smaug?
Thanks again for the honest feedback :)

Of course! I don't own the right to pony Hobbit crossovers or anything, no need for my permission!
